What Could Be Wrong

Rear glass is the most exposed panel when a phone lands face-up. Corners take the worst of it.

Case-free daily use

Without a case, the camera surround and edges take repeated small impacts that eventually crack the panel.

Pressure or twisting

Sitting on the phone can crack the rear panel even when the front survives.

A previous rear-glass repair

A panel that was not bonded properly can craze or lift later under normal thermal stress.

What We Check

Before any quote, and before anything is opened up:

• Confirm the damage is limited to the rear glass and not the frame
• Check whether the camera lens covers are also cracked
• Test wireless charging behaviour before and after
• Inspect for moisture ingress through the break
• Check the frame is straight enough to take a new panel cleanly

How We Handle It

A broken back is more than cosmetic. Loose glass edges are sharp, shards keep detaching, and the opening lets dust and moisture reach the wireless charging coil and camera assembly. On many models the back glass is bonded to the frame with strong adhesive, which is why proper removal matters — forcing it off can damage antennas and the charging coil.

Our technicians remove the damaged panel carefully, clean out every fragment and the old adhesive, inspect the wireless charging coil and antennas, and fit the new glass with fresh adhesive for a factory-like finish. We test wireless charging and camera function before returning the phone.

Your Repair Options

Rear glass replacement

The broken panel is removed with controlled heat or laser separation, adhesive residue cleaned off, and a new panel bonded to the frame.

Rear glass plus camera lens

Where the camera surround glass is cracked too, that is replaced at the same time.

Full housing replacement

If the frame is bent as well as the glass broken, a housing swap may be the sensible option. We explain the trade-off honestly.
