The console app that comes pre installed on Macs gives you a little more details about the iPhone and iPad battery health status . It is fairly simple and can be done as follows .
Launch Console on your Mac , plug your iPhone/ iPad to your computer via the Lightning cable, and type batteryhealth in the search field (remember to unlock your iPhone and select Trust this computer on the iPhone to enable access to the iPhone/ iPad ) .
As you see above , we get some more details about the status of the battery. In the case of my iPhone X, the health status is rated as Good. Other details such as the current battery level, the power source being used, and more are also shared by Console .

The best way to test your iPhone Battery .
The most complete and accurate status report of your battery can be obtained by contacting Apple and having them run a diagnostic directly on your device. This can be done by making an appointment at an Apple Store, or by calling 0008001009009 within India and getting in touch with Apple’s online Support .
After taking your approval , Apple will be able to remotely run a diagnostic on the device and have a clear picture of the battery status. This is probably the best way to know what is going with your battery if you’re having issues.
Running these tests on new devices may be unnecessary , but it can prove to be helpful if you are noticing degraded performances on your older devices. If you’re using an iPhone thats 1-2 years or older and are noticing issues with your battery life , running any or all of these tests may help you to get a better idea of what’s going on.
